Tracks Safety has been nominated as one of 18 finalists for the 2018 Mountain Protection Award of the Union International des Associations d’Alpinisme (UIAA). The International Climbing and Mountaineering Federation (more commonly known by its French name) was founded in 1932 and has a global presence on six continents, with 92 member organizations in 68 countries that represent approximately three million people.

The UIAA promotes the growth and protection of alpinism and climbing worldwide by:

1.- Preserving their spirit and traditions.
2.- Promoting safe and ethical mountain practices.
3.- Promoting responsible access, culture, and environmental protection.
4.- Supporting youth participation and the Olympic movement.
